Dr. Christopher Morgan
A native of Oklahoma, Dr. Morgan moved to the Sherman area in 1986 (one of his first summer jobs was working as an optician in Royal Optical). He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from McMurry University and finished his professional education at the University of Houston College of Optometry. There he received letters of excellence in clinical achievement while completing externships at Barber’s Point NAS Hospital and Browning IHS Hospital serving the local Blackfeet Native American tribe.
After receiving his Doctorate of Optometry degree in 1995, Dr. Morgan did a post-graduate residency at Crownpoint USPHS Hospital in Crownpoint, New Mexico serving the Navaho Nation in a multi-disciplinary health care setting.
Dr. Morgan has been practicing optometry in the Sherman area since 1998. He is a therapeutic optometrist as well as an optometric glaucoma specialist . He is also a diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and recipient of the VSP certificate of excellence.
Dr. Morgan grew up wanting to be an optometrist after seeing first-hand the dramatic effect that clear vision can have on a person’s quality of life (or in other words, he was amazed when his childhood eye doctor showed him that the tree across the street had individual leaves on it).
Travis Street Optical is a modern practice, utilizing the newer diagnostic instruments available in todays’ digital environment but it’s the individual attention to detail that sets their practice apart from the rest. It’s an old-fashioned approach in an age that values quantity over quality.
Heather
Heather is our Frame Manager and has been with Travis Street Optical since 2013. Heather has an amazing ability to select the exact frame that looks best on every patient! She has curated an incredible selection of frames for our office, many that won’t be found anywhere else locally.
Kandace
Kandace has been with Travis Street Optical Since 2018. Kandace loves and enjoys helping the patients and takes pride in making sure that they are perfectly fitted in the eyewear that they choose, her goal is to make sure that they are completely satisfied with the experience here at Travis Street Optical!
Melissa
Melissa has been with Dr. Morgan since 1998. Melissa has enjoyed helping patients with visual needs and still to this day her role with the patients makes her happy! Melissa is highly skilled in safety eyewear and oversees all safety orders to make sure the eyewear is meeting the safety standards. Her experience and hands on training to other employees has helped with the success of Travis Street Optical.
